Important Update
TripCase is sunsetting
Sabre will be sunsetting the TripCase app, and as of April 1, 2025, registered users will no longer be able to access or use the app.
While this decision was not made lightly, it allows us to focus on advancing our travel marketplace and better serving our agency partners. Thank you for being part of the TripCase journey.
FAQs
The sunset
1.1 What is happening and when?
The app and web version of TripCase are being sunset globally. Starting April 1, 2025, users will no longer be able to access the app. It will be removed from the iTunes store, as well. The app has already been removed from the Google Play store.
It’s important to note that the web services that power TripCase, as well as many other third-party travel management apps, remain available and are an important part of our strategy to operate the leading travel marketplace.
The web services that remain active include the messaging services—including email—that power the Sabre Traveler Communication and Custom Messaging solutions, which many agencies and airlines use to manage trip-related emails to travelers.
The Sabre Traveler Communication and Custom Messaging products, (sometimes informally called, “TripCase Messaging”), remain available to agencies and airlines; they are not part of the app sunset. As a result, agencies and airlines can continue to email travelers about trips.

1.3 Some end-users also receive email notifications about their trips. Will those stop with the app sunset?
Companies that manage trip-related emails using the Sabre Traveler Communication and Sabre Custom Messaging products, (sometimes informally called, “TripCase Messaging”), will continue to be able to email travelers at their discretion. Sabre Traveler Communication and Sabre Custom Messaging are not part of the TripCase app sunset.
1.4 What is the Sabre Traveler Communication (STC) product?
Sabre Traveler Communication (STC) is the administration portal for delivering the information and documents required for travel. It is not affected by the TripCase app sunset.
Once a booking is completed through the Sabre system, STC enables agencies and airlines to send tickets, invoices and itineraries to their travelers via email.
In addition, STC can deliver updated travel information at any time provided the traveler has given consent for their itinerary to be sent.
- To learn more, visit the STC product page on Sabre.com.
- To activate STC, agencies and airlines should contact their Sabre account representatives.
1.5 What is the Sabre Custom Messaging (SCM) product?
Sabre Custom Messaging (SCM) is an airline product sold as part of SabreSonic bundles, not on a standalone basis. It is not affected by the TripCase app sunset.
SCM enhances the flight experience by advising travelers of schedule changes that occur in advance of departure. This innovative tool also notifies customers about web check-in eligibility as well as gate changes, delays and cancellations beginning 24 hours prior to departure. Once a trip has ended, Custom Messaging also prompts travelers to contact the airline and offer feedback about their experience.
- To activate SCM, airlines should contact their Sabre account representative.
Strategy
2.1 Why is Sabre sunsetting the TripCase app?
