Earth Day is an annual event that reminds us that each one of us can do our bit to save the planet. At Sabre, we are proud to be recognized as a green company and an organization that creates an environment to empower employees to create a culture of environmental sustainbility. This year at Sabre, we setup multiple opportunities for our employees across three days themed Clean it. Green it. Mean it. Clean It The Clean It initiative revolved around cleaning the campus and making the work environment better. As a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 30+ volunteers from Sabre lent a helping hands to team Ascendas towards cleaning and maintaining the premises in and around the tech park. Green It The Green It initiative was split into two parts. The first motto of the day was to ensure a green workspace. In order to fulfil this purpose, kiosks to sell indoor plants were set up in the office. Our employees were really excited and over 250 indoor plants were sold within a couple of hours. In the latter part of the day, focus shifted towards creating an awareness about waste management and segregation for which an engaging and thought provoking street play was performed by some of the employees. This was followed by seed paper distribution. Mean It The next day, some interesting facts related to conservation of paper, power and water were shared with the employees through small placards put at various places in the office. Also, a workshop on waste management and segregation was organised for members of our housekeeping staff. We hope that the information shared and the awareness created will empower our employees to maintain their workplace in a better way and pledge to do our bit towards making Earth cleaner and greener.
