Orlando, FL, January 23, 2017 – Radixx International, an industry-leading provider of custom tailored airline reservation, distribution and merchandizing systems, announced today that its Passenger Service System (PSS) is now operational with Arkia Israeli Airlines, Israel’s 2nd largest international airline. The partnership further expands Radixx’ foothold in Middle Eastern aviation, as Radixx already provides systems for other carriers in the region, including flydubai, Qazaq Air, Kam Air and Rotana Jet, with several additional regional partnerships pending.
Arkia Israeli Airlines is based out of Sde Dov Airport in Tel Aviv, with hubs at Ben Gurion International Airport, Eilat Airport and Ovda International Airport. Arkia currently services frequent daily domestic flights within the country between Tel Aviv, Eilat and Haifa. Additionally, it services international flights to many popular European, African and Russian destinations.
Scheduled flight destinations:
- Amsterdam, Munich, Bucharest, Bergamo, Belgrade, Larnaca, Paris, Barcelona, Oslo, Stockholm, Dublin, Batumi, Yerevan
Charter flight destinations:
- Mykonos, Rhodes, Heraklion, Kos, Lleida, Corfu, Burgas, Thessaloniki
Arkia has a complex business model and incorporates elements of a Low Cost Carrier (LCC), as well as traditional IATA travel agent and GDS distribution. Passengers are a mix of business and leisure travelers. In order to service so many locations and passenger types, Arkia has entered multiple strategic interline relationships with European, South American and GCC-area carriers, as well as a codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines. Arkia has aggressive growth plans, aiming to extend service to both North America and Eastern Asia.
Arkia chose Radixx as their provider for multiple reasons, including reduced fees resulting from direct link capability between the Radixx platform and GDSs, advanced credit card payment solutions, the ability to retain passenger online for years, a graphical departure control system, enhanced ability to sell ancillaries, and an extremely friendly user interface.
Regarding the partnership with Radixx, Joe Nakash, chairman of Arkia majority owner Jordache Enterprises, notes,
“The Arkia team is always looking for the most advanced ways to be both competitive as a business and the airline of choice for our passengers. Radixx is the ideal partner for us to achieve these objectives.”
Ron Peri, Radixx International CEO, comments that
“Radixx is extremely pleased to have been selected by Arkia as its distribution system. Arkia is a very exciting airline, pioneering new distribution methods as they seamlessly combine elements of traditional, LCC, and traditional GDS distribution into a unified and superior customer experience.”
