Sabre Corporation – a major provider of software for the travel industry – developed a new technology platform. It’s SabreMosaic™, a solution powered by Google’s artificial intelligence and Google Cloud architecture, designed for airlines. The goal? A complete transformation and modernization of retail strategies that will soon translate into ordering convenience for every traveler.

SabreMosaic™ is an intelligent, modular technology platform that will allow airlines to completely transform their retail processes in line with the vision of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This vision is for solutions that are fully based on the Offer-Order model. In addition, the platform also provides Sabre’s advanced order management features that support the handling and execution of offers, including acceptance and settlement of traditional and non-traditional payment types. Service recipients, meanwhile, are guaranteed consistency in the content presented to customers and much, much more.

Thanks to the new solution from Sabre, airlines will be able to efficiently and flexibly transform the model of their retail operations and offer solutions that will make a real difference in every traveler’s experience.

“Defining and building the next generation of airline retailing solutions has been a significant investment and strategic priority for Sabre, and we are well down this path,” said Kurt Ekert, President & CEO of SabreSabreMosaic™ is the culmination of our dedication to innovation in airline IT and active collaboration with our airline partners to enable the future of modern retailing. With the success we are already seeing with Sabre’s Retail Intelligence suite of solutions, today’s announcement marks an important milestone on our path to delivering a fully open, modern and flexible retailing platform.”

Leveraging artificial intelligence from Google, Sabre’s new platform enables airlines to dynamically create, sell and deliver personalized content to travelers. The modular, open and cloud-native architecture enables airlines to choose API-based bidding and ordering solutions that best meet their needs. This allows companies using the platform to transform operations to suit their needs.

“Airlines are becoming sophisticated retailers and need the same data-driven insights and AI tools to optimize their businesses and better serve their customers as other consumer services,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud. “Through our work with Sabre, we are helping airlines harness their data to make faster, more informed decisions that improve operations, personalize marketing, and ultimately increase customer satisfaction.”

SabreMosaic™ includes 10 new product packages – from quoting and ordering to billing and delivery – as well as existing Sabre Retail Intelligence artificial intelligence-based solutions such as Air Price IQ™, Ancillary IQ™ and Upgrade IQ™, and Sabre NDC IT solutions.
