Vice President, Site Reliability Engineering, Sabre Bengaluru
Sriram Gopalswamy currently serves as the VP of Site Reliability Engineering for Sabre in Bengaluru. In his role, he leads the Technology Engineering & Operations (TEO) group in Bengaluru. One of Sriram’s primary responsibilities is to enhance the stability of products and services that are deployed across on-premises infrastructures as well as multiple public cloud platforms. A staunch advocate of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and automation, Sriram consistently champions these domains.
Before joining Sabre in 2018, Sriram held the position of Senior Director Operations at Syniverse. In this capacity, he directed numerous global operational teams, including the Command Center, DevOps, Application Operations, and Innovation. His leadership was pivotal in orchestrating the migration of mission-critical telecom products from physical datacenters to the public cloud, specifically AWS. Prior to his tenure at Syniverse, Sriram devoted approximately 13 years to Oracle Corporation. He took on the role of Senior Development Manager, leading the India Engineering Division of the Oracle Cloud Automation platform. This platform serves as a comprehensive gateway for delivering hosting services to Fortune 500 OnDemand clients. Furthermore, Sriram was instrumental in steering the engineering of the Oracle Disaster Recovery Platform, a tool that facilitates disaster recovery tests for OnDemand clients across various product suites. Earlier in his career, Sriram worked with Polaris Software Lab as a Systems Analyst and spent a brief period at Kaashyap Radiant Systems Ltd. as a Systems Engineer.
Sriram completed an EGMP in Management at the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore. He also holds a degree from the University of Madras. Sriram is also the author of the patent titled “Simplifying Automated Software Maintenance of Data Centers.”
