However, Surendran also sees a number of challenges hindering women’s top position in the c-suite, the most important being not having a mentor with a strong engineering, technology and leadership background. “Mentors can play a big role in supporting women at the workplace. At the same time, organizations must offer enough flexibility for women to maintain a work-life balance.
