- Aptek, Starlings and Wooba already offer Sabre NDC APIs and other developers like Basset, Envvio, Ideas Fractal and Netviax, are in the process of implementing them. More agencies now enjoy access to Sabre NDC due to these IT partners.
SOUTHLAKE, Texas – May 8, 2024 – Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a leading software and technology provider to the global travel industry, is growing its network of authorized third-party developers that have integrated its Offer and Order APIs (also known as Sabre NDC APIs), to give travel agencies in the region expanded access to Sabre-distributed NDC content.
By integrating the Sabre NDC APIs, online booking tools can enable their travel agency customers to shop, book and service traditional air content, as well as real-time NDC offers that can include air fares, ancillaries, dynamic pricing, and other types of rich content. Sabre integrates and normalizes traditional ATPCO/EDIFACT options alongside NDC offers, making it more efficient and convenient for travel agencies to find the best option for their travelers, as well as to service those reservations when plans change.
“As more and more airlines adopt NDC, it is crucial to increase our network of technology partners to expand the reach of NDC content,” said Elisa Carneiro, Regional Leader of Agency Sales for Latin America, Sabre Travel Solutions. By integrating Sabre NDC into the online booking tools of developers like Aptek, Starlings and Wooba we are able to provide agency customers with efficient access to Sabre-distributed NDC content, which brings more benefits, including enhanced capabilities to offer more flexible and customized travel options – all in one place,” said Elisa Carneiro.
Going Beyond NDC is one of Sabre’s key strategic initiatives that aims to accelerate the evolution of travel retailing and distribution based on real-time offers and orders. Today, 19 airlines distribute their NDC content through Sabre’s travel marketplace to more than 150 markets. More than 50 carriers are in Sabre’s NDC development pipeline.
“The growing number of authorized third-party developers integrating Sabre NDC APIs demonstrates that we provide the content their customers want and the capabilities they need to operate efficiently. We work hard to aggregate and normalize content from multiple sources. This gives agencies and other travel buyers a broad set of choices and a robust set of capabilities that can scale in their respective environments,” added Carneiro.
