Online travel leader to drive growth in one of Latin America’s most dynamic markets
MEXICO, June 5, 2014 – Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a global technology provider to the travel and tourism industry, has appointed Salim Arkuch as general manager for Sabre Travel Network in Mexico. In this role, Arkuch will lead Sabre’s travel agency and corporate business in Mexico, and be responsible for growing and maintaining trusted partnerships with customers. Arkuch has more than a decade of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and revenue management. He most recently served as a vice president of product for regional online travel agency BestDay.com. There he was responsible for designing B2B and B2C strategies for global hotel commerce and merchandising. He also worked on the VisitMexico Tourism Board’s branding and marketing executions in world markets. He also spent eight years at Grupo Posadas’ subsidiary in Mexico, in a number of different roles. Based in Sabre’s office in Mexico City, Arkuch will lead an organization of more than 80 employees in sales and account management, IT consultancy, and technology implementation.
