SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–June 12, 2006–Mexico-based Aviacsa recently selected revenue management technology from Sabre Airline Solutions, the global leader of software and services for the airline industry from planning through execution. The new technology, Sabre AirMax Revenue Manager including Low-Fares Manager modules, will help maximize the carrier’s revenue potential through more accurate forecasting and robust inventory controls, and it will be delivered via Sabre eMergo Web access, an applications service provider delivery method.
Aviacsa will operate AirMax Revenue Manager in a flight leg and segment processing mode. In particular, Aviacsa will be able to utilize the capabilities of Low-Fares Manager modules seamlessly integrated within AirMax Revenue Manager, providing the industry best framework for revenue management decision support in a hybrid fare environment comprising of both traditional and less restricted fares.
AirMax Revenue Manager provides state-of-the-art forecasting and optimization systems supported with flexible data collection and reporting as well as an intuitive and easy to use graphical user interface to help cope with the changes in the marketplace and stay ahead of competition. The forecasting, optimization and user interaction processes used to determine the inventory controls fully support simplified or restriction-free pricing considerations, key to most low cost carrier models, as well as the airlines that compete with this segment.
AirMax Revenue Manager is expected to be implemented at Aviacsa during the third quarter of 2006. The airline, which currently employs the Sabre Rocade Crew Management System, is the first airline in Mexico to utilize AirMax Revenue Manager. The move to state-of-the-art decision-support tools results from the carrier’s need to effectively compete in the market.
