Sabre and Lufthansa Group NDC progress: expansion into home markets and launch of Discover Airlines

Sabre-connected agencies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium can now book and service Lufthansa Group’s NDC content, including newly added Discover Airlines

SOUTHLAKE, Texas – Feb. 24, 2025Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a leading global travel technology company, today announced the next phase of its NDC collaboration with Lufthansa Group. The newest milestone brings NDC content to Lufthansa Group’s home markets – Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium – while also expanding into additional regions. Lufthansa Group’s NDC content is now available to travel agencies in more than 100 countries, further increasing access to modern airline offers through Sabre.

Starting this week, Discover Airlines, a Lufthansa Group carrier with hubs in Frankfurt and Munich, also joins the Lufthansa Group’s NDC offering in Sabre, expanding the range of available options for travelers. Sabre-connected agencies that activate Lufthansa Group’s NDC content can now seamlessly shop, book, and service offers from Discover Airlines alongside Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and Swiss International Air Lines – all within Sabre’s NDC-enabled marketplace.

As airlines continue to modernize their retailing strategies, NDC adoption is scaling across the industry. By working with technology partners like Sabre, airlines can distribute their NDC content efficiently, while agencies can integrate this content into their existing workflows. This approach enables agencies to access a broad range of offers through a single, streamlined platform, helping them provide travelers with more choice and transparency.

Travel agencies can register through Sabre Central Marketplace to activate the content and seamlessly shop, book, and service NDC offers through Sabre’s Offer and Order APIs, the agency booking solutions Sabre Red 360 and Sabre Red Launchpad™, and a range of online booking tools, among them SAP Concur, GetThere, Zeno by Serko, and Atriis.
