Sabre awarded Nigeria’s Aviation Technology Achievement Award
ABUJA, Nigeria – Aug 28, 2018 – Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, has been awarded the Aviation Technology Achievement Award at the inaugural National Tourism Transport Summit and Exhibition(NTTS), which was held from May 21 to 22 at the International Conference Center Abuja. Sabre was commended for the company’s commitment to Nigeria’s growing tourism and aviation industry.

According to Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics, more than 3.6 million passengers travelled to or from a Nigerian airport in the fourth quarter of 2017, a year-on-year increase of 4.89 percent. Travel is expected to remain a growth industry for the country in the next decade: according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the travel industry’s direct GDP contribution was 2,298 billion NGN in 2017; it is forecast to rise by 4.3% per year from 2018 to 2028.
