Sabre helps Czech Airlines enhance traveller experience using merchandising technology

Sabre supports Czech Airlines’ vision to personalise experience and increase choice for passengers

Czech Airlines has introduced industry-leading technology powered by Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR) that helps to personalise the travel experience for consumers by enabling them to easily purchase its range of customised fares. Czech Airlines is the flag carrier of the Czech Republic, offering its customers regular connections to/from more than 90 destinations across 45 countries thanks to co-operation with its partner airlines.  Sabre’s technology will enable the airline to effectively market and sell its roster of fares globally through the Sabre travel marketplace, reaching more than 425,000 travel agents across the world. Sabre enables travel agents to meet a growing demand and expectation from consumers for more personalised products and services. Using Sabre’s enhanced technology, Sabre-connected travel agents can now provide travellers with Czech Airlines’ range of branded fares, which enable passengers to choose fares based on what is most important to them – such as purchasing a budget fare, having the greatest degree of flexibility, or earning the greatest amount of loyalty points. “Czech Airlines is an important carrier linking many western destinations with those in the east of Europe and across Asia,” said Dean Bibb, interim senior vice president EMEA at Sabre.  “Therefore, offering a superior level of choice and transparency to its customers over different fare options is a crucial part of its strategy to improve passenger experience and appeal to a wide range of customers.  Its range of branded fares offers greater choice and control for passengers over the types of tickets they choose to buy, and Sabre is committed to helping the airline find new ways to market these products and make them available through any booking channel.” Travel agents using Sabre can now offer clients more informed choices and a higher level of customer service, while also driving upsell opportunities based on enhanced visibility to specific brand offerings. “At Czech Airlines, we are always looking for new ways to personalise the experience for our passengers and increase the degree of choice available to them,” said Ján Tóth, Director of Commerce at Czech Airlines.  “Through making our LITE, PLUS, FLEX, BUSINESS LITE and BUSINESS fares available through Sabre, our passengers will be granted a transparent and consistent offering from us, regardless of the booking channel they use.  Agencies also stand to benefit by having a greater choice available at their fingertips so that they can better advise and serve their customers based on their individual preferences.” Czech Airlines joins a growing list of carriers that merchandise and sell their branded fares and ancillary products and services, such as pre-paid bags and seats, to their travellers through Sabre.Sabre’s travel marketplace plays an important role in facilitating the marketing and sale of airfares, hotel rooms, rental cars, rail tickets and other types of travel, to more than 425,000 travel agents and thousands of corporations who use it to shop, book and manage travel.
